Some causative factors- Excessive dietary saturated fat
- Excessive refined carbohydrates (sugar and white flour).
13 test subjects with probable gall stones were given refined and unrefined carbohydrate diets for six weeks each. The refined carbohydrate diet increased bile cholesterol saturation and the investigators concluded that the avoidance of refined carbohydrate foods could reduce the risk of gall stones.
